
With the beginning of the academic year, first-year students are actively involved in lectures on the basics of information culture and academic integrity at the Admiral Makarov National Technical University. Organization of information events, aimed at popularizing the use of information resources for learning and the principles of academic integrity, is an important area of work of the Scientific Library of the university. The moderator of the event is Kateryna Bilonozhko, coordinator of the Group for the Promotion of Academic Integrity at NUK named after. adm. Makarova, category I librarian.
So, students listened to lectures during September 1 course of the Educational and Scientific Humanitarian Institute (city 1511, city. 1521, city 1541, city 1551, city 1561), Faculty of Economics and Marine Ecology (city 1441, specialty "Finance, banking, insurance and stock market", city. 1431, specialty "Management of organizations and administration", "Management of transport systems and logistics"), Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Science and Project Management (city. 1122, specialty “Computer science”, city. 1124, specialty “System analysis”). Lectures were held in offline and online formats.
During the presentation of the material, the issues of defining the concept of "academic integrity" were highlighted, the importance of its observance for every student, its impact on the quality of education and future professional activity, and how information literacy helps to effectively use information library resources for learning. After all, maintaining academic integrity is the key to quality education and a successful career!
