EIFL-Ukraine

EIFL-Ukraine consortium

With the assistance of the National University Library, the Declaration was signed and the EIFL-Ukraine Consortium was joined. The EIFL-Ukraine consortium is a national association of libraries, universities and scientific institutions, whose mission is to promote the transformation of the scientific and educational ecosystem of Ukraine by providing access to electronic information resources, development of open science and support of professional growth of researchers and librarians through training, cooperation and innovation. Participation in the Consortium provides:
  • free or discounted access to electronic resources and technological information platforms (products);
  • discounts or cancellation of payment for processing articles for publication in the open access;
  • support for the development of open science and international cooperation.
The scientific library is officially included in the list of member institutions of the EIFL-Ukraine Consortium, which is confirmed by the information on the DNTB website of Ukraine at the link: https://dntb.gov.ua/%D0%BCembers-eifl
CORE

Project "Community of open repositories of Ukraine"

Electronic institutional repository of Admiral Makarov National Shipbuilding University (eIR NUOS) with the assistance of the Scientific Library officially joined the Community of open repositories with the support of the CORE platform (Connecting REpositories, The Open University, UK, https://core.ac.uk/) - one of the largest international aggregators of open access scientific documents. This is a national initiative, led by the Scientific and Technical Library of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Ihor Sikorsky - an open professional environment for cooperation, exchange of experience and joint development of the national infrastructure of open science. The purpose of the community:
  • increasing the interoperability of repositories, improving the quality of metadata and increasing the visibility of scientific results of Ukrainian institutions in the global scientific space;
  • coordination of interaction between institutions and international open science initiatives.
The CORE platform indexes research articles from data providers, including institutional and subject repositories, preprint servers, as well as open access and hybrid journals.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation Project "Action. Digital Education »

Scientific Library of NUS named after. adm. Makarov is registered with the official hub of the National Project of Educational Online Platform "Action. Digital Education ». To increase the level of media-information literacy of users is conducted:
  • filling with materials, that contribute to the development of digital and media literacy of users of the "Digital Literacy" page on the library's website;
  • informing users about new information products of the educational online platform "Action. Digital education" on the library's website and Facebook page;
  • consulting on the development of digital skills with the help of educational series, presented on an online digital literacy platform https://osvita.diia.gov.ua/courses;
  • participation in online seminars, webinars on digital education.

"BiblioSynergy: research support »

"BiblioSynergy: research support » (http://bibliosynergy.ula.org.ua/index.php) Is a partnership project of university libraries, aimed at creating a professional environment (site) to communicate like-minded people and implement new practices in support of research. Project philosophy: "We share experience, we acquire knowledge, grow together!» BiblioSynergy Mission - promoting the growth of the success of the scientific component of each university and the development of Ukrainian science in general, its integration into the international scientific information space, increasing the level of its influence in the world. Project participants are university libraries, libraries of academies of sciences. Libraries defined, which on a voluntary basis oversee individual segments (blocks) information. NUS Scientific Library is responsible for the segment "Competences of librarians". As part of the segment administration, information resources are searched by areas:
  • Regulations. Methodology. Recommendations;
  • Articles;
  • Presentations;
  • Video;
  • useful links.
BiblioSynergy Coordination Council consists of curators of individual segments (blocks).
