10 In June, a meeting with Mitya Velikonya took place in the humanitarian department of the Scientific Library of the Admiral Makarov National University of Science and Technology (Myth the Great), Doctor of Philosophy, professor of cultural studies, Head of the Center for Cultural and Religious Studies of the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). The main area of ​​his research is modern Central European and Balkan political ideologies, subcultures and graffiti culture, collective memory and post-socialist nostalgia.

Professor Mitya Velikonya presented and presented his books to the library “Titostalgia. A study of nostalgia according to Joseph Broz” and “Image of disagreement. Political graffiti and street art of the post-socialist transition”, which were published by the publishing house “Helvetica” in Ukrainian translation. These books have been translated and printed in six languages ​​of the world.

The meeting was organized with the assistance of Oleg Dubinsky, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, economic, of legal and social issues of the National Technical University named after. adm. Makarova, doctor of legal sciences, professor and Oleh Golovko, candidate of economic sciences, founder and director of the Publishing House “Helvetica”, with whom our university and library have many years of fruitful cooperation.

The interesting and meaningful meeting was relaxed and warm. Professor M.. Velikonya talked about his research, creative searches and stories of creating their books, answered the questions of those present. Very nice, that students, present at the event, communicated with the professor in English, asked questions and were interested in the publications presented.

Presented books, and 70 English-language editions of various topics Mitya Velikonya gave as a gift to the Scientific Library.
