Already 25 for years in a row, Ukraine celebrates the holiday of unity of users and library workers, as well as everyone, who understands the role of books and libraries in their lives - All-Ukrainian Library Day. Unfortunately, the last two years have been under martial law.
On the occasion of the holiday, the staff of the Scientific Library of the NUK named after. adm. Makarov prepared a series of festive events. The slogan was chosen as the theme of a number of events 2023 year of the Ukrainian Library Association“Library is your synergy of victory”, which defines the role of libraries in the approach of our Victory.

Employees of the user service department Educational–of the Scientific Humanitarian Institute and the Faculty of Maritime Law held for first-year students majoring in "Journalism" Freshman's Day "Opening the horizons of knowledge".
Library employee S. YU. Gordynets introduced the present to the modern digital environment of the National Bank: website, electronic catalog, institutional repository and other electronic information resources, informed about remote services, provided by the library. From the story, the students also learned about a new remote service for library users - access to the electronic catalog of the NB NUK. adm. Makarov from mobile devices on Android using the mobile application LibClient.
Employee of the information and bibliographic department of the National Library K. FROM. Bilonozhko presented to the audience a course for higher education "Academic Integrity", which revealed the basic principles of academic integrity.
The guests of the event also got acquainted with the book and illustration exhibitions "Bibliography of new arrivals" and "Treasury of wisdom", which were issued on the occasion of the All-Ukrainian Library Day.
Employees of the user service department of the Machine-Building Educational and Scientific Institute designed a multi-colored photo exposure: "Put the old photos on the table...", which talked about interesting events, that took place in the premises of the department for users and its daily life.
It was organized in the user service department of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Automation and Electrical Engineering: bookishly – illustrative exhibitions "Read in Ukrainian", "As a gift to the readers of the Scientific Library...". (More details - in the following information).
The list of activities of the cycle also included campaign "Donate a Ukrainian book to the library", which will last until 30 October.
The holiday has passed, but the staff of the Scientific Library continues to work creatively, preparing for new meetings with his user. So come - we are always happy to talk with you!
