EU open data portal

European Union Open Data Portal The portal was launched as a result of the European Commission's "Data Openness Strategy for Europe" initiative in December 2012 p. It opens access to data of other organizations of the Union, authorities, offices and agencies, working under his authority. All users can download the published information, to reuse or share it. Open data is general information, which can be freely used and distributed by anyone. In this case, this applies to all information, which is produced, collected or purchased by EU authorities. It includes geographical and meteorological data, statistics, information on research projects, state-funded, and electronic versions of library books.
