A celebration of true courage, of heroism and courage - Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - 6 December is celebrated by the Ukrainian people.
On such a significant day, the staff of the Scientific Library congratulates everyone, who is involved in the high and honorable rank of military serviceman, who chose a difficult one for himself, but a worthy profession is to defend sovereignty, independence, national identity of Ukraine. Your service in the ranks of the Ukrainian army is a real feat, huge responsibility and immense love for the native land. You are our hope, support, keepers of peace and a peaceful sky overhead. We support you heart and soul!
We sincerely wish good health and strength to all military personnel of Ukraine, endurance and mandatory VICTORY, and with her - a quick return home! We bow our heads to the memory of the Heroes, who gave their lives for Ukraine!

The Armed Forces are contemporaries of Ukraine's independence. 6 December 1991 the Verkhovna Rada passed the law “About the Armed Forces of Ukraine”. According to the Constitution, the army is responsible for the defense of the country, protection of its territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability. There are three main types in the Armed Forces: Army, Air Force and Navy. Each of them has its own professional holiday, but 6 December unites all military personnel of Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are the basis of stable and confident development of our Motherland, her power and pride. The true strength of any army lies in the valor and honor of soldiers and officers. Since the beginning of the invasion of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine, our servicemen have proven their professionalism, dedication and boundless commitment to Ukraine.
