28 November marks Ukraine's mourning date - Holodomor Remembrance Day.
Remembrance Day was introduced by the Decree of the President of Ukraine 1998 year. IN 2006 year by the Law of Ukraine Holodomor 1932-1933 years was recognized as genocide. Ukraine as a result of genocide 1932-1933 years, mass artificial famines 1921-1923 and 1946-1947 years lost millions of lives.
Therefore, every year, in late November, we bow our heads in sorrow, honoring the memory of those killed in the Holodomor.
A lighted candle in the window of each of our homes in the evening 28 November will be a manifestation of our memory and faith in the future. We honor and remember.
