25 October – training on working with the Scopus database (Elsevier)
Dear scientists, colleagues!
We invite you to take part in the training on working with the Scopus database, which will take place 25 October Fr. 13.00 at Admiral Makarov National Shipbuilding University in the Electronic Reading Room of the Scientific Library (Heroes of Ukraine Avenue, 9, aud. 547). The training will last approximately one hour.
During the training, work in the Scopus database will be presented along with examples of practical use of the resource. We will discuss different strategies, which will help you find the necessary information as efficiently as possible, what, so, will allow you to spend less time searching and more time conducting research.
You will be able to ask questions and suggest specific searches, that match your research interests.
At the training, we will consider the following questions:
– author profile and organization profile in the Scopus database;
– basic scientometric indicators;
– criteria for selecting scientific publications for inclusion in the Scopus database.
