22 January - Day of Unity of Ukraine

On this day in 1919 Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic was proclaimed in. Officially in Ukraine, the Day of Unity is celebrated with 1999 year. The proclamation of catholicity became the starting point for the history of modern Ukrainian statehood. Reunification Day is a reminder for all Ukrainians, that the strength of our state is in the unity of the Ukrainian lands, and the strength of the people is in the unity of the people.
