21- October 27 - International Open Access Week, which will be held this year under the slogan "Open for Whom? Equity in Open Knowledge "-" Open to whom? Equality of access to open knowledge ".
Free access to scientific information is the key to the development of scientific communication in the digital age. Today in free access - more 30 millions of scientific articles, dissertations, monographs, teaching and research materials. Millions of books are already legally available online.
Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding supports the movement of open access to scientific information:
– through the placement of scientific works of the teaching staff, employees and students of NUS named after. adm. Makarov in the electronic institutional repository eIR NUOS;
– through support in free access of electronic versions of scientific publications "Shipbuilding and marine infrastructure", "Collection of scientific works of NUS" and "Bulletin of NUS".
The Scientific Library of the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding invites everyone, who wants to learn more about the topic, at events, dedicated to open access resources:
– 23 October Fr. 12.20 "Open access resources for science and education" – presentation of the 7th release of the web navigator "Open Access Resources", issued by the NB NB.
– 25 October about 11.30 "Open access as a means of promoting academic integrity" – seminar-discussion.
Individual and group consultations for scientists will be held during the week "Authoritative open access journals. Publication in open access journals », during which we will be happy to answer any questions at a time convenient for you.
We also invite readers-users to join the all-Ukrainian flashmob #EquityOpenKnowledge. To participate, you need to shoot a short video (am to 1 minutes), in which share your history of using or creating Open Access resources, a history of support for the Open Access Movement or its specific initiatives.
