The week before the professional holiday – The Day of the Machine Builder in the reading room of the user service department of the Scientific Library at the Machine Building Educational and Scientific Institute of the National Academy of Sciences was full of events and meaningful meetings.
First, for those seeking education 1 and 3 courses of the Machine-Building Educational and Scientific Institute, an information hour was held "Modern library services to help mechanical engineering education". During the event, the library employees emphasized the role of the Scientific Library in ensuring the educational and scientific processes of the institute, and also presented the unique funds of the department - the largest collection of special literature of the machine-building profile in Mykolaiv.
During the event, visitors got acquainted with thematic exhibitions of literature. And although most of the publications presented are highly specialized literature, aimed mainly at senior students and specialists, books about car engines, non-traditional energy and different types of fuel also interested first-year students.
On the eve of the holiday, the department also took place Dialogue meeting near the library exhibition on the topic "Mechanical engineering: education, science, production". До розмови долучилися викладачі кафедри інженерної механіки та технології машинобудування, студенти-технологи 3 курсу та співробітники бібліотеки.
Ця зустріч мала більш фаховий напрямок. Учасники обговорили сучасний стан машинобудівної галузі, ознайомилися з новими навчальними посібниками, науковими та довідковими виданнями з різних напрямів машинобудування, а також фаховою літературою іноземними мовами, зокрема спеціалізованою періодикою. Викладачі наголосили на важливості професії, яку обрали майбутні інженери.
