In April, the library fund of the user service department of the Scientific Library at the Mechanical Engineering Educational and Scientific Institute of the National Academy of Sciences was replenished with new editions of fiction and non-fiction literature. The vicissitudes of life of the heroes of the novel - disabled sailor Leoni, pregnant sniper Toni, military pilot Vasyl, that he secretly brought to the USSR the German woman he saved, MGB Major Gennadiy Petrovych, who is engaged in operational work on the clergy, Micha's thugs take place against the background of post-war Kyiv, who is definitely the main character of the novel. The author - a professional historian - masterfully conveys the atmosphere, which ruled in Kyiv from 1946 to 1949, and a map of the center of Kyiv is placed on the front cover of the publication, where the events of the novel mostly take place. The book will be interesting to everyone, who loves Kyiv and is interested in its history.
