Commemorative events in honor of the scientist continued at the Machine-Building Educational and Scientific Institute of the Admiral Makarov National Technical University, teacher, the long-term head of the institute - Viktor Mykhailovych Gorbov, in which the Scientific Library took an active part. 28 In May, a ceremonial opening of the memorial plaque took place, which was attended by the management of the university, family, colleagues, students and good friends of this very sincere and talented person. Employees of the user service department of the Scientific Library at the National Academy of Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences prepared two exhibitions of literature, at which the scientific and pedagogical legacy of the respected professor was presented.
In the hall of the building, visitors to the event had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest editions of V.M. Gorbova, including, training manual "Competence standards of seagoing ship personnel and protection of their rights", who saw the world, when Viktor Mykhailovych left us. The scientific and information publication "Scientists of Ukraine - the elite of the state" also attracted attention. 2022 year of graduation. It was kindly given to the Scientific Library by the wife of Viktor Mykhailovych - Tetyana Oleksandrivna Horbova.
In the audience, which bears the name of Professor Horbov, among the literature presented at the exhibition, the autobiographical ones aroused greater interest, philosophical publications and a book of culinary recipes.
They say, that a person is alive, as long as she is remembered... The memory of Viktor Mykhailovych will live on the pages of his textbooks for a long time, on library shelves, in the green corner of the Old Building and in the hearts of his relatives, colleagues and students.
