The scientific library presents literary and artistic exposition "Scientist. Teacher. Man: 80-thing is dedicated to the birthday of Professor Viktor Mykhailovych Horbov...", which is exhibited in the reading room of the user service department of the Scientific Library at the Mechanical Engineering Educational and Scientific Institute of the Admiral Makarov National Technical University.
В.М. Gorbov (1944 – 2022 рр.) - professor, candidate of technical sciences, Academician of the Academy of Shipbuilding Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the Academy of Technological Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Education Worker of Ukraine, full member of the English Royal Society of Naval Engineers, chartered engineer of the Maritime Board of Great Britain, a valid member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, science and technology of Great Britain. For thirty years, he headed the department of operation of ship power plants and thermal power engineering, worked as dean/director of the Mechanical Engineering Institute for twenty-three years.
The exhibition materials comprehensively reveal the extraordinary personality of the esteemed professor. The uniqueness of the scientific, technical and pedagogical activity of Professor V.M. Gorbova found her reflection in scientists, training, reference materials, issued both in Ukraine, as well as abroad.
Journalistic publications reveal him as an interested researcher of the history of the university, department, biographies of people, whose lives are connected with MKI-NUK.
The column "Scientific and creative life of a scientist" shows Viktor Mykhailovych as a talented person, who loved life in all its manifestations and admired her ideas. This section of the exhibition is illustrated with photographs, among which is an image of a green corner in the institute yard, which was created on the initiative of Viktor Mykhailovych and became a favorite place of rest for employees.
Editions are allocated to a separate location, which V.M. Gorbov donated it to the Scientific Library and accompanied it with gift inscriptions.
The first visitors to the exhibition were S.I. Serb, director of MNNI, Doctor of Engineering, professor, B.M. The face, head's assistant, candidate of technical sciences, docent, В.М. Patlaychuk, head of the turbine department, candidate of technical sciences, docent, M.S. Bondarenko, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor of ESEU and TI department - remembered his colleague as a true patriot of the university and the mechanical engineering institute, a talented person, a wise teacher, persistent organizer.
