Within the measures, dedicated to the All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries, First-year students visited the scientific library of the National Academy of Sciences, who are studying under the educational and professional program "Documentary and informational activity of public authorities" of the Faculty of Maritime Law of the National Academy of Sciences. Together with them was Hanna Anatolyivna Yermolayeva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative and Constitutional Law of the Ukrainian National University.
First-year students had the opportunity to talk with the director of the Scientific Library Tamara Mykolaivna Kostyrko, candidate of sciences in social communications. She presented the library as a modern information space, in which traditions are combined, digital technologies and new opportunities — from finding the right book to accessing scientific information, electronic resources and services for training.
During the meeting, the guests watched a documentary film "University library: boundless world of knowledge ", prepared for the 100th anniversary of the university library, and also familiarized themselves with the publication "University library: from traditional to digital ", which makes it possible to trace the history of its formation and development.
Next, first-year students got acquainted with the practical possibilities of the library. Head of the information and bibliographic department Kateryna Bilonozko presented the website of the library, electronic catalog, institutional repository of the National Academy of Sciences, electronic databases and other information resources and services.
