Traditionally, on the third Thursday of May, all Ukrainians, wherever they live, celebrate World Embroidery Day. Respecting national traditions and values, employees of the Scientific Library of the National University named after. adm. Makarova, wearing embroidered shirts and dresses, once again took part in the celebration of this holiday, which is a symbol of Ukrainian unity. The World Embroidery Day is a young and beloved national holiday, which is designed to preserve the age-old folk traditions of wearing ethnic embroidered Ukrainian clothes.
