The Scientific Library of the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding traditionally celebrates its professional holiday – All-Ukrainian Library Day – together with its users, confirming this year's motto of the Ukrainian Library Association "Library - together we can do more". Festive events had a single goal - to do everything, so that everyone present in the library feels, that the All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries is his holiday.
On the eve of the holiday, representatives of the university's student body visited us. Guests were invited library non–stop "Library and book - forever», where they entered: fascinating video journey "The most unusual libraries in the world", the quiz "The World of Books" and the documentary film "University Library: boundless world of knowledge ". Students were interested in information about the history and present of our library. The book "University Library: from traditional to digital ", which was prepared by the library staff and dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Scientific Library.
T. introduced our guests to the possibilities of the book collection in today's conditions and its electronic resources. M. Skeleton, director of NB NUK, Candidate of Sciences in Social Communications.
Thematic book installations became one of the highlights of the holiday: «Welcome to our Library», "AI and the library: mission accomplished", "The letter "Y" is a symbol of Ukrainian resistance and expectation of freedom", "Autumn is even more magical with a cup of coffee and an interesting book" The interesting world of book collection treasures was presented at the exhibition-installation "Be in trend - read in Ukrainian". The meeting was warm, friendly atmosphere.
The holiday continues and we are always glad to see readers in our library.
