It was developed by a group of Ukrainian heraldists - Andriy Hrechyl, Oleksiy Kokhan and Ivan Turetsky. Such symbolism was officially approved at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada 19 February 1992 year. Therefore, this very day became the Day of the State Coat of Arms of Ukraine.
