Activities of the Methodical Association of Higher Education Libraries

To the Methodical Association (MO) libraries of institutions of higher education in. Nikolaev enter 4 libraries of the leading higher education institutions of the city:

Priority areas of activity:

  • work of libraries of higher education institutions on optimization and updating of library funds;
  • improvement of library services to ensure high-quality and prompt user service in online and offline modes;
  • the work of the libraries of higher education institutions to increase the publishing activity of higher education researchers, organization of user access to electronic scientific databases;
  • increasing the level of information, digital, media literacy of users and academic integrity in the academic space of higher education institutions;
  • detection, study, generalization and dissemination of innovative work experience;
  • increasing the professional competence of library specialists of higher education institutions;
  • development of professional contacts and interaction with libraries of other systems and departments.

For 2026 year, the following issues will be considered at the meetings of the Methodological Association Council:
  • approval of the plan of work of libraries of the Ministry of Defense on 2026 year;
  • development of electronic resources and digital services in libraries;
  • supporting the policy of open access to scientific results, support of the publishing activities of scientists;
  • preservation and popularization of library funds through the digitization of rare and valuable publications;
  • ensuring the inclusiveness of the library space and improving the quality of user service;
  • implementation of innovative approaches in the work of libraries;
  • media literacy and information hygiene as a direction of activity of libraries of higher education institutions;
  • on the preparation of reporting and planning documentation.

During the year to discuss current issues in the work of freelance libraries, which are part of the Methodological Association, highlight innovative aspects of work.
