Traditionally, before this event, the staff of the Service Department of the Scientific Library at the NN IAE NUS prepared a detailed review of the literature on the topic: "Information security". The basis of the exhibition was close 300 publications. The participants of the conference got acquainted with the scientific works of teachers of the Department of Electrical Equipment of Ships and Information Security, materials of scientific and technical conferences, monographs of scientists, publications of scientists of the department in authoritative scientific publications of Ukraine, textbooks, textbooks and periodicals.

P. Chepelinska on the topic "Fire and man-made safety requirements".

16 November in the Electronic Reading Room of the Scientific Library of the NMC named after Admiral Makarov to International Day for Tolerance hosted an unusual event - "Living Library". This project is a live meeting with people, acting as "books", and communication with them - as "reading".

A unique collection of "living literature" of different nationalities was presented in the Electronic Reading Room, we can say - foreign literature. Students from China, Cameroon, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, acting as living books, tried to convey to peers information about their countries, culture and life. "Books" told about themselves and their hobbies, national features and education in Ukraine, and also answered all willing questions. According to the organizers, such communication helps "readers" - students to get rid of stereotypes about foreigners, promptly get answers to questions, which you will not find in ordinary books. Such communication is a step towards mutual understanding in society and awareness of that fact, that people are different.

During the communication of "readers" with "books" and a conclusion was made, that tolerance needs to be learned and can be learned. Because tolerance is a human ability, community, states to hear and respect the opinion of others, to welcome a different person from one's opinion. Peace is impossible without tolerance, and development and democracy are impossible without peace.

At the end of the event, all those present gladly took part in the creation of "Peace Tablecloths". We hope so, that this meeting will mark the beginning of the Living Library project at our university.

Voloshin's "Motherland and mother did not choose". The book highlights the main milestones in the life of Grigory Mikhailovich Sheik, known and respected man in Mykolayiv region, a veteran of World War II, talented scientist and teacher, active participant in patriotic education of youth. WITH 1961 am to 1969 Grigory Mikhailovich worked as an engineer, junior researcher, senior laboratory assistant, assistant, and with 1970 am to 1991 year - a senior lecturer at the Department of Electrical Equipment at the Nikolaev Shipbuilding Institute. The author of the book, an experienced local historian and museum worker, collected and generalized valuable material, which will help the reader to understand, how the fate of a particular person reflects the history of our country in the turbulent twentieth century.

The Service Department of the Scientific Library in NN IAE NUS took an active part in the presentation and prepared an exhibition of educational publications from the library fund, the author of which is G. M. Sheiko.

The editions of this book became a pleasant gift for the library staff, donated by Grigory Mikhailovich. We are sincerely grateful for the priceless gift, as this book is a notable contribution to the national biography and historical local lore, it serves the heroic and patriotic upbringing of student youth and will be useful to those, who is interested in the life of famous countrymen and history in general.

Generous talents, the Ukrainian land has given humanity not only wonderful singers, composers, writers, but also prominent mathematicians. One of the most honorable places in the history of world mathematical science belongs to Mikhail Ostrogradsky, a man of extraordinary talent, who made major discoveries in many fields of mathematics and mechanics. In September this year, the international scientific community celebrated the 215th anniversary of the birth of the famous Ukrainian mathematician. It is to this remarkable event, 18 October employees of the subscription of junior courses of the Machine-Building Educational and Scientific Institute, Computer Science Research Institute, engineering and technological sciences NB NUS organized for freshmen information hour "Famous Ukrainian mathematicians".

Mathematics is a field of tireless search and hard to self-forgetful work. The work of a scientist-mathematician is similar to the work of a poet: as in poetry, in mathematics there are quite complex search mechanisms and filigree design of the found result. The librarian is a restless person. He is always accompanied by a desire to learn something new about interesting places in Ukraine.

So it is no accident, 30 September, on the All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries, Specialists of the Scientific Library decided to visit the historical and entertainment complex "Green Farms of Tavria", located in the Kherson region.

"Green Farms of Tavria" is the only complex in Eastern Europe, spread over the untouched nature of the Tavria forest-steppe zone, this is Ukraine in its historical and cultural miniature.

26 April in Ukraine declared the Day of National Mourning on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy - the largest man-made disaster in human history. Until this date, the staff of the subscription of junior courses of the Machine-Building Educational and Scientific Institute, Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer and Engineering Technological Sciences of the Scientific Library of NUS organized and held an hour of mourning "Courage and pain of Chernobyl".

The purpose of the event was to provide readers with information about the negative impact of the "peaceful atom" on the health of the nation.

Employees of the Electronic Reading Room (ЕЧЗ) The NUK Scientific Library celebrated this date 25 April video lecture "Her Majesty - The Book". First and second year students were invited to the event, students majoring in "Applied Linguistics" and "Software Engineering".

The main purpose of the video lecture is to draw students' attention to books as a source of knowledge, means of communication, which remain the basis of active education and critical thinking, despite the rapid development of more sophisticated sources of information.

Therefore, it is no accident, what 26 April in the reading room of the Maintenance Department of the Scientific Library at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Automation and Electrical Engineering (NN IAE) NUS on the initiative of the Department of Modern Languages ​​held an annual student scientific-practical conference "Latest Trends in Electronics and Electrical Engineering".

21 March in the Electronic Reading Room of the National Library of NUS was the Day of Happiness "If you are, then – happy!», dedicated to the International Day of Happiness. This is the day, when we can and should remember the best moments of our lives. And tune in to a positive mood, reject bad thoughts, hug your loved ones harder and smile at complete strangers, after all, everyone, living on our planet, has the right to be happy.

The holiday was attended by first and second year students majoring in "Applied Linguistics" and first year students majoring in "Software Engineering".

During the event, my students and I tried to understand, what is happiness and how to be a happy person? ECC staff told the audience about the history of Happiness Day, features of its holding in different countries of the world.

Students reviewed books on happiness, inspiring, in which there is a personal experience of the authors, real life examples, as well as the results of sociological research and experiments. Employee ECHZ SV. Borshchevskaya also spoke about books of joy and happiness, which evoke only the best and brightest feelings, which it is desirable to read, to smile, warm up from the cold of winter and melt in the spring sun.

At the end of the holiday a master class on making lucky cards was held. These are the cards with warm wishes, decorated with bright ribbons, became the main symbol of the Day of Happiness in Ukraine.

This was confirmed by the speech of Anton Lutsenko, member of the quartet "Four in the vestibule", organizer of the literary project "ProLitArt", which, expressing their own feelings, consideration, recited his poetry and poems of favorite poets. The guests gladly listened to the performance of the participants not only poems, but also songs, which made the holiday even more emotional.
