Web of Science (am to 2014 Web of Knowledge) — a platform, on which the bases of scientific literature and patents are placed, am to 2016 owned by Thomson Reuters. In November 2016 year of the IP department & Science was acquired by mutual funds and operates as Clarivate Analytics. Today, the Web of Science platform has 15 databases, created both by Clarivate Analytics and its partners. In general, more is indexed on the platform 33 thousands of publications, Monday - Friday: 1864 year, from all disciplines.
The central part of the platform is scientometric, abstract, international database Web of Science Core Collection WoS (CC) (am to 2014 was called Web of Science), which consists of scientific citation indexes of periodical publications in natural and technical sciences - Science Citation Index Expanded (SAW), from social sciences - Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and from humanities - Art and Humanities Citation Indeh (AHCI). WITH 2015 WoSCC expanded with a multidisciplinary Emerging Source Citation Index (YOU GO OUT) the archive deepens to 2005 year.
WoSCC also presents the Conference Proceedings Citation Index of the best conferences (CPCI) and monographs Book Citation Index BkCI and two chemical indexes: Current Chemical Reactions (CCR-EXPANDED) та Index Chemist (IC).
In Web of Science, publications of both the traditional business model and open access journals are indexed.
