Dear friends, we are glad to tell you good news! The book collection of the Admiral Makarov Scientific Library has been replenished with new publications: the book of essays "Witnesses of the Past" by Yevhen Horburov and the biobibliographic index "Yevgen Horburov: dialogues with history".
Horburov Yevhen Hryhorovych is a member of the National Union of Local Historians of Ukraine, laureate of the Mykolaiv Regional Prize named after Mykola Arkas, Knight of the Order of Danylo Halytskyi and "For Merit" of the 3rd degree, honorary local historian of Ukraine, candidate of historical sciences, docent, deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council of the 8th convocation, head of the regional council's permanent commission on science and education, innovation, young people, family and sports, culture and spirituality.
15 October, on the anniversary of the birthday of Yevhen Hryhorovych, in Mykolayiv Regional Universal Scientific Library the presentation of his popular science publication "Witnesses of the Past" took place, which was published in 2024 year at the Mykolaiv publishing house "Ilion". To congratulate Yevhen Hryhorovych on his anniversary, express gratitude for cooperation, a significant contribution to the preservation of the historical memory of Mykolaiv Oblast came from. M. Kostyrko is the director of the Admiral Makarov Scientific Library, Candidate of Sciences in Social Communications and O.V. Бөлодэд, deputy director for scientific work.
Evgeny Hryhorovych dedicated his new book "Witnesses of the Past" to his relatives, close ones, familiar people, with whom he had to study in different years, work, do your favorite things, write and publish books, to explore the history of the native land. They entered it 15 essays about the events of the past, mostly related to the Mykolaiv Oblast, where the author presents forgotten or unknown historical facts, remembers the heroes of the past, describes their rewards. The publication is illustrated over 100 photos of orders and medals, signs, tokens and other artifacts from museum and private collections.
