Every year, 6 June, a day, when in 1992 The National Union of Journalists of Ukraine was accepted into the International Federation of Journalists, Journalists' Day is celebrated in Ukraine. IN 2024 This year, this holiday celebrates its 30th anniversary.

A journalist is a very responsible and dangerous profession, even in peacetime. During the war, many journalists risk their lives, to show the world the truth about the fighting. Not only courage is behind these words, and above all, it is devotion to one's vocation, a true search for truth, the need to quickly and honestly convey it to readers or viewers.

For the professional holiday of mass media workers, employees of the user service department of the Educational and Scientific Humanitarian Institute and the Faculty of Maritime Law of the Scientific Library of Admiral Makarov National University of Science and Technology have prepared a book exhibition "Journalism education and science".
