29 January 1918 year - a memorable date of the struggle for the independence of Ukraine, on this day there was a battle near Kruty, which for the Ukrainian people became a symbol of heroism and self-sacrifice of the young generation - students for the freedom and independence of Ukraine. At the cost of their own lives, they stopped the Bolshevik offensive on Kyiv. At the state level, the Heroes of Krut were commemorated in 2003, annual - established in the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada dated 16 May 2013 of the year "On commemoration of the feat of the heroes of the Battle of Kruty".
So., 29 January we pay tribute to the resilience and courage of young men, which are the same, as well as today's defenders of Ukraine, came to the defense of the Ukrainian state and stopped the attacker.
