22 June 1941 year, 4.00 morning is the day the war begins, which took the life of every fifth Ukrainian. Pain, suffering, death and loss for years to come... The longest years for those, who survived this horror.  The way, as long as 5 years, brought many difficulties and troubles, losses and incredible suffering.

Every year 22 In June, Ukraine honors the bright memory of millions of Ukrainians, whose lives were cut short by the Second World War. It Day of mourning and commemoration of war victims in Ukraine, which was established in accordance with the decree of the President of Ukraine dated 17 November 2000 of the year with the aim of "...national commemoration of the sons and daughters of the Ukrainian people, those who died during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, of their feat and sacrifice..."

It is on this day that Ukrainians remember those with whiteness in their hearts, who never returned from the war. About those, who by blood and sweat, defended the Victory at the cost of his own life. They remember those, who was the first to take the terrible blow, whose lives were crippled and destroyed by war.

From the bloody morning of June 1941 many years have passed. However, the boundless gratitude for the feat at the cost of life cannot be erased from human hearts, for courage, courage, heroism, that gave peace and freedom.

Today, war has come to Ukraine again. However, we believe - they destroyed evil in the Second World War, let's destroy it now! Ukrainians are sure: together we will overcome, together we will endure, together we will win!
