15 April the world community celebrates the Day of Environmental Knowledge. The holiday was founded in 1992 year, when the UN Conference in Rio de Janeiro stressed the importance of environmental education for citizens of all countries for the implementation of long-term plans for human development.
In Ukraine, the Day of Environmental Knowledge is celebrated with 1996 year on the initiative of public environmental organizations.
