23.10 Call day, debate, awareness raising #OAweekUAchallenge
Round table "Open access - open opportunities" with the involvement of researchers, authors, representatives of the university administration, librarians
This event will help raise awareness of open access, will help different audiences to exchange views on the benefits of openness, share experiences about it, which are open resources, for what purpose can be used now, user success stories, which became possible thanks to open access.
Flash mob "Open the castle"
In the courtyard of the main building of the university 23 October about 11.00 student youth form a kind of "living castle" (open access symbol), which should open. Supporters of the Open Access movement and all interested parties are invited!

24.10 Open Archives Day #OAweekUAarchive
Training seminar "Open archives - open science"
During the seminar it is planned:
– discussion of the perspective of the participation of various representatives of the academic community in the creation of the Institutional Repository of the National Academy of Sciences for the purpose of presenting scientific, the educational completion of university researchers in free access and the possibility of using the resources of electronic archives in educational and research processes;
– recognition of authors, structural divisions of the university, who made the greatest contribution to the development of the Institutional Repository of the National Academy of Sciences;
– search training, review and archiving of scientific documents, taking into account the growth in the global practice of using international electronic archives (arXiv, Figshare, E-LIS, Zenodo etc).

Presentation of the 5th release of the web navigator "Open Access Resources", issued by the NB NB
The purpose of the events of this day is to inform young students about Open Access resources, and also about lectures, multimedia, training courses with the possibility of free and unrestricted access to them (Ukrainian projects: EdEra, Prometheus; international projects: Khan Academy, EdX, MIT OpenCourseWare, Duolingo, Codecademy etc).

In order to generalize specific results, which were achieved, or identifying problematic points for relevant conclusions for the future, a questionnaire will be filled out on the website https://goo.gl/iykLEF, as well as analytical and photo reports are presented on the pages of the NUK websites, NB NUK, as well as in the Facebook social network on the pages of the NB NUK and "Open Access Week in Ukraine 2017".
