The listeners were students of the first year of higher education of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Sciences and Project Management of the National University of. adm. The moderator of the event is the coordinator of the academic integrity promotion group at K. University. White-legged, librarian 1 categories of the Scientific Library. She familiarized the freshmen with the rules of academic integrity and the components of its violation, emphasized the need to form a deep understanding of the importance of observing the basics of academic integrity in educational activities. The students were familiarized in detail with the normative documents of the National Technical University named after. adm. Makarova, which regulate compliance with the rules of academic integrity at the university. Also, with the active participation of first-year students, existing means of combating plagiarism were analyzed, the question for whom and for what purpose it is important is considered. At the end of the lecture, the moderator of the event emphasized once again, that academic integrity is the moral foundation of intellectual honesty and cooperation, which helps preserve and develop the values of the academic community. Its main principle is the absence of plagiarism and deception in science, educational and research activities.
At the end of the lecture, the students were introduced to the structure of the website of the Scientific Library, which reflects all its activities, library services, possibilities of using electronic information resources for successful learning. They also received advice on the correct design of lists of used literature and descriptions of electronic resources.
The conducted online lecture is a confirmation of that, that the Scientific Library of the University, as a center of access to information resources, disseminates and popularizes the principles of academic integrity among students of higher education and encourages them to adhere to them.
