An important stage of scientific activity is the publication of the obtained data. With the advent of electronic publications, open access, creating a technical aspects of the publication is not too complicated. In some countries, publication requirements are formalized, in which the results should be published, submitted for defense or required for academic titles. The purpose of this is to better present to the scientific community the achievements of scientists. However, scientists often fall victim to predatory publications, which are not platforms for sharing experiences, and pirated copies of well-known publications, or try to mimic under them. Publication in predatory publications is a loss of results, time, money and, most importantly, reputation. During the webinar we will discuss the main types of predatory publications, what to look for when choosing a publication, how to check edition indexing in gmail, example, Web of Science Core Collection.
