9 In March, Ukraine commemorates the birthday of the great Ukrainian poet, artist and thinker — Taras Shevchenko, whose work became a symbol of national dignity, spiritual strength and indomitability of the Ukrainian people. His word still inspires new generations of artists, and the ideas of freedom, truth and love for the native land remain relevant.
It was in honor of Kobzar that the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine was founded - the highest state award in the field of culture, literature and art.
To the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Taras Shevchenko National Award of Ukraine, the Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences presents an exhibition of publications by authors who are laureates of the highest state award in the field of culture, literature and art. Premium, started in 1961 year, marks the artists, whose work became an important part of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Ukraine.
