
On the occasion 80-anniversary of the liberation of Ukraine from fascist invaders, which is celebrated 28 October, employees of the user service department of the Educational and Scientific Humanitarian Institute (ННГІ) presented to users the book and illustration exhibition "Honor for a feat, gratitude for peace ".
At the beginning of the presentation, emphasis was placed on that, what 28 October is a day, which reminds Ukrainians of one of the most tragic pages in history - the Nazi occupation, which swept through the country like a bloody tornado and took tens of millions of lives; about the invaluable contribution of the Ukrainian people to the fight against Nazism; about heroic deeds and courage; about millions of crippled destinies and about pain, which remained in the heart of every Ukrainian forever. They also mentioned that, that today a new generation of Ukrainians once again stood up for the defense of Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity.
Books, which were presented at the exhibition, introduced users to key battles on the territory of Ukraine, chronology of the liberation of Ukrainian cities, losses, which our state suffered during the Second World War. Acquaintance with publications was especially moving, the authors of which spoke about the great feat of the Ukrainian people.
The tragedy of the Second World War did not escape almost any Ukrainian family.
Therefore, such events are a commemoration of everyone, who became its victims and gratitude to them, who gave his life for the freedom and independence of Ukraine. This is also a thank you to everyone, who with his work brought the defeat of the enemy closer and helped to rebuild Ukraine from the ruins. We remember everyone...
