In September, with the beginning of the new academic year, The scientific library has traditionally started a cycle of lectures for first-year students on topics: "Academic integrity: course for education seekers" and "Basics of information culture".

This year, the start was held at the Educational and Scientific Humanitarian Institute. The first listeners were students of the group 1531 specialty B2 "Design" and groups 1541 specialty A7 "Physical culture and sport".

The lecture was moderated by Kateryna Serhiivna Bilonozhko, head of the information and bibliographic department of the Scientific Library, coordinator of the group for the promotion of academic integrity at the NUK named after. Admiral Makarov.

During the classes, students learned about the importance of academic integrity for a modern student of education, learned the rules of correct use of sources, and also familiarized themselves with the resources and services of the library, which will be a reliable support in education and research.

Such meetings are an important component of the educational process, because they contribute to the formation of a culture of responsible learning among NUK students. They help first-year students to adapt to university life faster and learn the key values of the academic community - honesty, responsibility and respect for intellectual work.

During the academic year, the cycle of lectures will continue for students of other institutes and faculties of the university. The scientific library will continue to be a space, where knowledge is combined with a culture of fair use, and every student can find support on his way to success.
