Wiley Publishing has been removed https://www.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/ available to users through Google Scholar (Google Scholar) am to 30 April 2020 p.
The access algorithm is provided by the account manager of Wiley publishing house.
Full texts are accessed through Google's CASA service - Campus Activated Subscriber Access, which gives activated users access to the subscription, when they are outside their organization. Here is the principle of its operation:
When a user logs in to Google Scholar (Google Scholar) from your computer from the organization's IP address, Google Scholar registers the connection between the user's computer and the subscriber ID, associated with the IP address.
When the same user later accesses Google Scholar from their computer at an IP address, not associated with a subscriber ID, Google Scholar is looking for a link between the user and the subscriber ID. If such a link is found, then Google Academy adds CASA tokens to full-text links to publication articles, to which the user has a subscription through his organization.
Google maintains a link between the user's computer and the subscriber ID during 30 days, and then discards it, if you do not need to update this link, by opening Google Scholar from the organization's IP address during this time period. This full-text usage will be included in the COUNTER reports for the organization.
If you signed in to your Google Account during authentication, The token is also associated with this Google Account and stored for 30 days. The user can then use this token on multiple devices, by signing in to your Google Account before searching on Google Scholar.
pay attention, that it's very important to sign in to Google Scholar from your computer to activate this feature (or device) in the organization's network at the first stage. It's best to do this through your Google Account.
This solution is not perfect, but in the context of the situation, existing, is quite working. Wiley is not the only publisher, which provides such remote access in conjunction with Google Scholar. It is possible, that resources from other publishers will also be opened through Google Scholar, it is better to specify about it at representatives of the corresponding companies (or verify empirically).
The information was provided by Wiley Senior Regional Representative Serhiy Viktorovych Paramonov, Ph.D..
